Jack Wilber

Hi, I'm Jack

I build things, solve problems, and create systems that make work faster and smarter.

I've always liked building things and seeing how they come together. From casting metal sculptures and 3D printing parts to wiring electronics and flying RC planes, I love the sense of cause and effect—putting something into the world and seeing it take shape. That same mindset drives everything I do now.

I'm studying finance at Indiana University, but what really drew me in wasn't the numbers—it was the systems behind them. I love the markets and invest in companies I believe in, but what keeps me engaged is building: creating technology, lean teams, and systems that make things work better.

Started with Cursor

Enzo introduced me to Cursor, and it immediately changed how approachable development felt. Within a month, I had built my first real application and realized how quickly I could learn by doing.

This was the first time I seriously wrote code and built software, and I was blown away by how empowering it felt being able to turn ideas into programs. This was the moment software shifted from an abstract concept to something that felt approachable, learnable, and exciting.

Shipped OS Mail Merge

OS Mail Merge was the first tool I built that had a direct, measurable impact. BinaryHeart was paying for YAMM to handle email outreach, and I was determined to replace it with a simple internal tool built specifically for our needs.

I built OS Mail Merge to handle the same workflows without the subscription cost. While the savings were small, it was the first time something I built replaced a paid product and improved how we operated.

Built Trace

Trace was the project that solidified my interest in building software long term. BinaryHeart had been using Scribe for process documentation/SOP creation, and I saw an opportunity to build something more affordable and better suited for a scaling organization like ours.

In ~3 weeks, I had something that I used as a replacement for Scribe. Trace made me to think more seriously about UX and maintainability rather than just features. This was the first thing I built that I was truly proud of, and the first Electron app I worked on.

Formed Foundry01

Foundry01 was created to bring all of my projects under a single, intentional brand focused on efficiency and thoughtful product development. It marked a clear shift from building individual tools to building products and teams with long-term direction.

We built a small but capable group that included diverse skillsets, including product management and software engineering. The goal was to move beyond one-off solutions and toward software that could scale, improve, and be used by people outside our immediate networks.

4 Apps in Beta

As of now, Foundry has 4 active products in beta. Two, Trace and Sparkline, are enterprise focused applications. One, TimeTracer, is consumer-facing and testing direct adoption.

Having real users depend on these tools changed how I think about quality, reliability, and security. These are no longer experiments; they are early-stage products with traction, feedback, and a clear path forward.

We are building quickly and expect to break even in Q2 2026.
